The first STEP to my cosplay *cackles at her bad joke* eh hem yes. Alot of people over at cosplay.com were kinda confused on how to make these so I geuss posting this is kind of my way of celebrating they're completion. I'll post how to make them below.

Now that I'm done with the shoes all i have to do is buy materials, find some clothing patternes, show the pants, sow the shirt, fittle with the shirt, kill myself attempting to make the firkken padded jacket, heal from finger sowing wounds, find some way in hell to make the head band (I think I'm steering towards the soda pop can method) buy a wig and/or bleach and dye my hair white, have my eyes examined, buy contacts, and finaly find a con to go to! :D See! I'm almost done!

Anyways, shoe steps-
Materials-
Buy some crappy black toeless sandles with no backs to them. Find em cheap cuz your going to mutilate them. Hot glue gun and tacky glue, staples or pins, I used staples, sissors, nail clippers, a pair of black socks and a tolerance for burns.

Step eins-
cut the very tip of the sock off, not too much, just enoght to push toes through, put it on and wiggle your way to the toe of the sandle. once you've got there grab the edges of the sock fabric and staple them around the opening of the sandle, pay no heed to looks on your moms face, you know what your doing. monakes sure its even with the pad of the sock down, you don't want it all twisted inside. When your done with the bottom go ahead and staple around the top lip of the toe end of the sock to the shoe too.

Step Zwei-
Once your sure its all good and stapled, go to the heel of the sandle and where the heel of your foot would be staple to the back edge of the shoe, make sure it's still not twisted.

Step Drei-
Now stretch the sock to the place where it would meet the top lip of the sandle if it was on your foot, feel free to put it on and test but be careful, the staples can be sharp or pull out. Its best to take an educated geuss. Staple there and all along the sides of the staple. Okay, that was the hard part, now we move on.

Step Vier-
Take the tacky fabric glue and stick it under the staples and everywhere where fabric meets the shoe, make the fabric and the shoe one. Up top at the picture, where it has an arrow that points one right where the fabric holding your foot stops, make sure you put extra glue around and under that area (make sure it dosent show by the way, the tacky glue should be see-through but the hot glue will easyily show, both are shiny and stand out) because you'll find when you move around that that area gets pulled around alot, espessialy when running.

Step Funf-
Make sure you hotglue everything well under the fabric so theres no real openings then trim off any fraying peises of sock sticking out from the toe. Let dry for some hours, a day would be best but I'm impatient so I just took and shower and moved on to the next step when I got out. I'm so bad.

If your makeing shoes for a naruto character without the see-through heel, CONGRADULATIONS your done. Just pull out the staples when it's dry and enjoy, recommendations for emergency pack at the bottom.

Step Sechs-
Once everything is dry remove stamples, make sure you get them ALL (ouch) this is where the nail clippers come in handy. Re-check everything for those nastly little elusive frays.

Steps Sieben-
Heres the sorta tricky part, and most of it is secound-geussing. The socks I used were very springy so I had to be careful. Put your feet in the socks/shoes and proceed to cut out the heel, be careful because it runs like hose. When you cut it'll fray up so you want to cut low and work your way up if you have too. Look at Kakashi's character design to make sure it exposes as much heel as his dose (OOOooooOOOooohhh) once it looks good with a little lee-way for heming, here comes the painful part.

Steps Acht-
This can be painful if your stupid like me and don't think to use gloves. Take you foot out of the shoe and place it between your knees, now take the hot glue gun and lay a thin thread of glue allong the inner edge of the cut (where its fraying) and then fold it in and press it tight before it drys, it'll burn a little but just shake your fingers off. do this all the way around the opening and TADA no frays and no sowing :D Wasent that fun?

And thats basicly it, if you have any hot glue showing go over it with a flat black sharpie and it should hide it pretty well. As for an emergency kit (one of those thingys you bring with you to a con in case of your costume suddenly gets ripped or damaged or some odd) I would bring hot glue, black marker and tacky glue, and possibly a staple gun (use a regular stapler for makeing this, staple guns lay heavy duty staples and are a royal pain in the ass to remove from anything, but if you leave them in they won't poke up into yuor foot.

Anyways, i hope this helps :D As I finish more of my cosplay I'll post it up on here with step-by-step instructions to each part. Happy Ninjaing!
